About the event
**Our first ever event dedicated to working moms and dads!**
Join us for an afternoon of meaningful conversations, new connections, and potential collaborations. We'll start the event with an intimate fireside chat with our guest speakers, where we will discuss topics around work-life harmony, parental leave, being a mompreneur, and so much more. We'll follow that with a mix and mingle, where you can relax and enjoy your much-deserved break. Come for the new friendships, honest conversations, or wine!
Space is limited to 20 registrants, so sign up today! Refreshments and snacks will be served.

Ibukun Abejirinde MD, Ph.D. MSc.
Ibukun is a deeply curious individual who uses collaborative approaches to understand and solve problems in healthcare. Her work involves working closely with policymakers, patients, community organizations, and researchers to improve access to quality health services for people from marginalized populations. She wears multiple professional hats including being a Scientist at Trillium Health Partners, an Assistant Professor (status) at the University of Toronto, and a mentor/supervisor to young and emerging professionals. An immigrant to Canada, whose roots originates in Nigeria, West Africa, her greatest joys come alive through her husband and two daughters. She has a protected corner on the couch where she likes to find solace, and loves to travel even though she has not done that in a while.
Jennifer Shin, J.D, MI Decision Editor, Ontario College of Teachers
Jennifer is trained as a lawyer and currently works with the Tribunal’s unit of the Ontario College of Teachers. She loves the academic rigor of the law. However, she struggled to maintain a healthy work-life balance in a traditional law firm setting and pivoted early in her career to explore legal and law-adjacent roles in the regulatory sector. She also considered becoming a librarian and obtained a Master of Information, but eventually found herself back in the world of law and professional regulation. Outside of work, she spends her time trying (keyword: trying) to keep up with her three energetic children, and her equally energetic husband.
Yeonsil Yoo, Online Business Strategist
Yeonsil is the founder of Upfly.me, an online business education platform for Korean professionals and entrepreneurs. Born and raised in South Korea, she's been living and working in Singapore, the US, and Canada for over the past 17 years. On the side, she loves to write bilingual children's books to help them navigate their cultural identities. You can find her books on Amazon.
