Angie Kim, Senior Director, Finance at Loblaw Companies Limited
Angie Kim is a finance lead for Loblaw Companies Ltd., Canada's food and pharmacy leader, with a network of corporate and independently-operated stores in communities across the country. Angie received her B.Sc. with Honours from University of Toronto and experienced various leadership roles in sales, operations, and category management in her career. As a daughter of a diplomat, Angie has lived in multiple countries including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea before immigrating to Canada in 2001 and actively volunteers her time as a corporate culture ambassador and a mentor.
Chrystal Dean, Associate, Public Programs & Engagement, Sidewalk Labs
Chrystal Dean has been working in and alongside communities for over a decade. Since moving to Toronto in 2012, Chrystal has focused her efforts on organizations and initiatives working to empower people and organizations to create a more equitable and just city. At Sidewalk Labs she is passionate about building a new kind of neighbourhood that tackles some of our greatest urban challenges like climate change, affordable housing, new mobility, and equitable economic growth. As WorldPride Manager for Pride Toronto, she steered one of the largest international events ever hosted in Toronto, with unprecedented city-wide partnerships and programming, and over 2 million attendees. Chrystal has lived and worked in Australia, the UK, and Canada. She is passionate about equity, education, self-determination, social justice, and kindness.
Sang Kim, Award-winning writer and chef
Sang Kim is an award-winning writer and chef. His third book, Woody Allen Ate My Kimchi, a memoir, will be launched in 2020. He is the recipient of the prestigious Gloria Vanderbilt Prize for Fiction, Grain Magazine's Short Story Contest, and been shortlisted for the CBC Prize in both the fiction and non-fiction categories. He has been behind some of Toronto's best known Asian restaurant concepts; is the creator of Sushi Making For The Soul, North America's most popular hands-on sushi workshop; and been profiled in the NY Times #1 bestselling business book, Better and Faster, by Jeremy Gutsche for his innovative approach to food and restaurant marketing. He covers Asian cuisine on two popular CTV shows, Your Morning and The Social, and is currently shooting a pilot for his own cooking show that features talented child cooks.
