President Message
Hello! 안녕하세요!
It is both a joy and a true honour to serve as President of the Korean Professional Women’s Association (KPWA), especially as we celebrate a remarkable milestone—our 10th anniversary in 2025.
When I reflect on my own career journey, I can’t help but think how different it might have been if an organization like KPWA had existed when I was just starting out. At that time, there were few—if any—spaces where Korean-Canadian women professionals could come together to connect, to learn from one another, and to lift each other up. I often navigated challenges on my own, without the benefit of mentorship or a network that truly understood my cultural and professional experiences.
That’s why KPWA means so much to me—and to so many others. Over the past 10 years, we’ve built a vibrant, intergenerational community where women can lead, learn, and lean on one another. From our mentorship programs and leadership panels to our conferences and community initiatives, KPWA has become a powerful platform for growth, connection, and collective impact.
As we look ahead to the next decade, I want to extend a heartfelt invitation to you—whether you’re a new graduate, mid-career professional, or seasoned leader—to join us. At KPWA, there is a place for you. Your voice, your perspective, and your presence will strengthen the fabric of our community and inspire the next generation of Korean-Canadian leaders.
To our current members and supporters: thank you for your continued dedication. You’ve helped turn KPWA from an idea into a thriving organization that now celebrates a decade of meaningful milestones—and the best is yet to come.
We hope you’ll be part of this exciting next chapter. Visit us at www.kpwa.ca to learn more, get involved, and connect with others who share your passion and purpose.
With gratitude and excitement,
Monica Hahm
